Tristan Reed is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to children and adults. Her nursing experiences outside of mental health include public health, medical surge, case management, and serving as adjunct nursing faculty for Stark State College and Bryant & Stratton College. Tristan holds an extensive educational background, including a dual bachelor’s degree in nursing and political science from the University of Akron. She later went on to receive her Master of Business Administration from Ashford University in 2015 and a Master of Science in Health Administration from South University in 2017. Most recently, she returned to the University of Akron and completed her Master of Science in Nursing in 2020. In 2022, she obtained a certification from the Ohio State University in pediatric psychiatry. Currently, Tristan is pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Kent State University while working at Coleman Health Services. She brings her passion for mental health and public service to her role on the newly formed Akron Citizen’s Police Oversight Sight Board. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Tristan is dedicated to her family and community. She enjoys spending time with loved ones and serving in ministry at her church.
