About Us

We are a boutique mental health agency that caters to those who would not normally knock on the door of a behavioral health organization. We strive to take the stigma out of mental health so that more individuals seek the assistance they want and need. Our Staff’s workload is evaluated on an ongoing basis to assure that the needs of our clients are met.

Our Programs

Our Prevention programs promote a healthy environment for both individuals and communities.

Youth Services

Our day treatment program serves school aged children between Kindergarten through 12 grade with mental, social, behavioral, and emotional challenges. We provide daily tools and curriculum for them to gain the understanding that is needed to be productive in their everyday lives.

Adult Services

Means weekly interaction with a person in which the focus of treatment is on the person’s mental health or any emotional disturbance. QBHS acts as a partner in a person’s life that is able to help with structure, goals, and daily living.

Community Services

LABH provides community based services to consumers identified as having mental health disorder. Proposed BH counseling and therapy services include group and/or individual counseling based on needs determined from our completed mental health assessment.

Our Team

Christopher L. Henderson, MPA

Mr. Henderson graduated from the University of Akron where he obtained a Master’s in Public Administration and Urban Studies. For more than a span of 20 years, Mr. Henderson has devoted himself to empowering various communities. His mission is to help build up individuals and/or groups to bring them closer to their mental, emotional, and spiritual core to endure positive outcomes in their lives and sustain healthy relationships. Mr. Henderson is a strong advocate in uplifting the community and guiding individuals to discover their talents and becoming an asset in their environments. He is a proud member of the Masonic Order and of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.” Mr. Henderson’s personal quote is “I have my PH.D in Experience, a Master’s in Failure, and through those, that’s how I became successful.”

Richard B. Cash, BA

Mr. Cash graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelors in Political Science and Criminal Justice and has a certificate in Individual Marital and Family counseling. He has over 20 years of experience in mental health case management. Mr. Cash has a passion for seeing individuals elevated from one place to the next in life and believes that everyone can benefit from a helping hand from time to time.

Dee Dee Pitts, LPC, M.Ed

Dee Dee graduated from The University of Akron in 2009 with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy where she was trained in family dynamics. She has been employed at a local mental health agency since 2010 and she is a licensed mental health counselor. Dee Dee empowers couples and individuals to overcome personal obstacles to improve their relationships. She has been married for 33 years and she understands the complexities of relationships. She states, “Research show that unhealthy relationships can cause both emotional and physical stress, while healthy relationships can enhance and improve overall well-being.” She offers relationship counseling, individual counseling and family counseling for anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.

Jennifer Walker-Rosario, BA

Ms. Walker-Rosario has been working in medical administration for a little over 18 years. She opened her own consulting company back in 2015 after several years of working in various roles with hospitals, physicians, and insurance/billing agencies. She obtained her BA in Psychology in 2017 focusing on adolescent counseling. Ms. Walker-Rosario spent the better part of six years working in an inner-city suboxone clinic that provided medical and behavioral health services. She absolutely loves what she does and what LABH brings to the community. She believes that bridging the gap between administration and client care is key to an all-encompassing successful practice.

Candace Thomas, BA

Mrs. Thomas is a graduate of the University of Akron where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and an Associate degree in Criminal Justice Technology. She has spent more than 20 years helping individuals, children and families not only survive but thrive. Her career began at the Akron Urban League where she spearheaded the first reentry employment program in the community. Her love of God and compassion for others led her to working with adult and juvenile offenders, families, chronically homeless and the aging. Mrs. Thomas owned and operated Transitional Housing for women and developed programming to empower, employ, heal, and help those most vulnerable create a better path for the future. She is a wife of 25 years, mother, and grandmother.
